What is home link?

HomeLink is a standardized technology for remote control of garage doors, gate operators, lights, alarm systems, and other devices within a home or automobile. HomeLink systems are available in many automobiles and allow a driver to easily and securely operate the devices in their homes. With HomeLink, a driver can program and operate up to three different devices using buttons on their rearview mirror or visor. The system uses radio frequency technology that allows a user to activate a device from a short distance away. HomeLink is designed with security features to prevent unauthorized access to the programmed devices.
